VILNIUS. The international DnB NORD finance group will start publishing a periodical macroeconomic survey of Denmark, Finland, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania providing a detailed outlook for the economy development of the region.
Taking into consideration the economic research experience in DnB NORD Bankas, it was resolved to appoint the Dr. Vadimas Titarenko, the advisor of DnB NORD Bankas CEO, to consolidate economic research activity that will cover all countries where DnB NORD group is providing financial services.
“The business increasingly crosses the national economy lines and many customers of the group are closely watching the events and changes in the neighbouring markets. Therefore we decided to exploit our strength of being an international group with strong local presence and consolidate the efforts of our analysts. Our goal is to serve our customers best with in-depth understanding of the processes ongoing in each of the economies and highlight new business opportunities,” – said Sven Herlyn, the head of DnB NORD financial group.
The first edition to the group customers is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2007.
In Lithuania DnB NORD Bankas will continue to issue periodical review of Lithuanian economy as well as sectorial surveys that are very popular among the customers. Therefore it was resolved to add new strength to the bank’s economic research team.
Since the beginning of November, Jekaterina Rojaka, who has excessive experience in economic research, has joined the team of DnB NORD Economic Research Unit. In her previous position at the World Bank Lithuanian Office, J.Rojaka participated in preparing the macroeconomic reviews of the EU new members (except Cyprus and Malta) and carried out economic analysis to other international projects. The economist aged 28 will specialise in research of the Baltic region markets.
