Mandatum Arvo Eastern Europe Value is a mutual fund whose assets are invested mainly in publicly traded equities and equity-linked securities of value companies listed in Eastern Europe. The focus of the fund is mainly on the Polish, Turkish, Hungarian and the Czech equity markets. Investments can also be made in other Eastern European markets except Russia. Value companies are defined as companies with low market value in comparison to the book value. Value investing is based on thorough company analysis which aims at finding undervalued companies and avoiding equities whose valuation levels have appreciated too high. The fund is suitable as a long-term investment alternative for experienced investors who are seeking a value investment alternative with a higher return expectation on the emerging equity markets of Eastern Europe. The general performance of the equity markets in Eastern Europe is reflected in the value of the fund, which may fluctuate substantially in the short term. Due to its higher level of risk than in conventional funds, the fund is recommended as a small part of a diversified investment portfolio. The recommended investment horizon in the fund is more than five years. The fund�s benchmark index is the Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged TMI� Index.
