This will be a HQ-based role in Vilnius. The individual must be ready for regular European & global travels (that means that a valid passport is required!) Responsibility The Events Project Manager will be responsible for organizing and delivering events from scratch to the final closing words on event day. This is a complex, scrupulous work, requiring great attention and constant communication with sponsors, local organisers, media partners, track-leaders and attendees. To get most joy of work, the person should be very well organised, have a clear understanding of event operations, love organising events globally and work with multiple people across all timezones. GlobalHRU runs an ever increasing amount of events and the audience is growing exponentially everywhere from New York to Tokyo, Oslo to Cape Town – all around the world. This is a short list of what we think is a MUST for this role: -Entrepreneurial mindset -Responsible attitude towards work -Curiosity to new industries and functions Core responsibilities, but not limited to: -Lead end-to-end organisation of #HRU events in the EMEA region; -Provide stable flow of event registrations; -Search and invite relevant track-leaders (speakers) to #HRU events; -Manage and constantly expand relationships with partners: HR associations, job boards, HR magazines, bloggers and other related media; -Secure sponsorships for #HRU events in the EMEA region; -Source and attract best of industry HR professionals to join #HRU community; -Working in cooperation with Marketing in regards to sales, marketing and registrations as a whole; -Research and liaise with venues and suppliers, obtaining quotes and putting together cost comparisons, attend site visits and assist with additional ad hoc duties where needed; -Onsite event support including registration and other tasks. As an ideal candidate your background will include: -Previous experience in an project management or recruitment role preferred; -Experience in event management (at least 2 years is required); -Able to remain calm under pressure, good time management and prioritisation skills; -Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; -Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organisation; -Excellent command of written and spoken (business) English; -Excellent organisational, presentation and communication skills; Success Profile To be successful in this role, we believe the individual MUST Be entrepreneurial The individual will be working by themselves, must be innovative, focused, and hungry. Awareness of mobile and social media trends is almost a must. Organized and methodical approach to work with excellent follow-through to ensure partners’ expectations and deadlines are met will be a key factor of success. Be professional Successful candidate should be able to project energy, confidence and establish credibility via phone and email. Exceptional interaction and verbal/written communication skills are an absolute must. While managing multiple accounts simultaneously, high attention to detail and able to oversee each deal are crucial. Be global The firm’s executives and advisors, as well as the client base and attendees are from all over the world, speaking many languages and working in different cultures. Understanding what this means, ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment and how it will impact the work will be the key. Be a relationship builder, not an extreme used car salesman… Our business is not built with cold calls, although that might be needed from time to time. Our business has become what it is because of our keen understanding of what the marketplace, our clients and our attendees seek… We fill a gap in the HR and Tech knowledge space. Be a closer We’re seeking someone who can take a broad stream of inquiries, and professionally convert them into successful campaigns, it’s that simple.
