Ribota atsakomybė padaro tave silpną, nuvargina tave. Beribė atsakomybė suteikia tau galios ir atneša džiaugsmą.

Jei žodžiais manipuliuoji, tai – melas; jei žodžiais žaidi, tai – pokštas; jei pasitiki žodžiais, tai – neišmanymas, o jei žengi anapus žodžių, tai – išmintis.

What we see is only one tenth of what is.
The subtle creation governs the gross creation. The subtle creation is only full of vibrations. It is the subtle that rules the gross, and all information is embedded in the subtle. This is so fascinating - the space contains all information and energy. We say that the Sun is a source of energy, but the space around the Sun has a million times more energy, and is so much more powerful. There are three types of space: 1. The outer space 2. The inner space of the mind in which thoughts and emotions move, and 3. A space beyond these two; a space which is still So you have a power house inside of you. You are a walking power house. |

Guru is not a person, it is wisdom, it is a light, it is an energy, it is love; all of it combined. Something as abstract as spirituality needs a little guidance.
When your mind is very still, you can get all the guidance. But when the mind is not still, it is good to take guidance from one whose mind is absolutely still. |

Q: Guruji, How can we love someone who did a terrible thing to us?
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Don’t love them. Just accept them. First accept and then see the culprit not as a culprit but a victim. Due to circumstances they did so. If they would have had wisdom they wouldn’t have done it. Just a few days ago, a lady came to the ashram. She has three children and her husband was killed by Maoists. Later she became an Art of Living teacher and when she went back, she taught the Maoists Sudarshan Kriya and pranayama. Maoists were so amazed. They asked her: ‘You are not angry with us, we killed your husband?’ She said, ‘No, you didn’t have knowledge of what you were doing. I want you to be in knowledge’. They all did Sudarshan Kriya, pranayama and left the path of violence. They were crying in front of her like babies. The way she described brought tears in everybody’s eyes. All those 2000 people present had tears in eyes. This is the power of wisdom. It unites people of all roles and attitudes. |

Neturi vaiko nekaltumo. |

Ištirpinti vardą yra sąmoningumas. Ištirpinti formą yra meditacija. Pasaulis yra vardas ir forma. Palaima yra anapus ir vardo, ir formos.

Intelligent people never argue. It is said in the Narada bhakti sutra that if you are a devotee, you are lover of God, you never argue. Arguments have got no loyalty. They can go this way or that. Wise people don’t get into arguments. They say, ‘Ok you want to win, ok you win.

Be kritimo nesuvoksi atsikėlimo džiaugsmo. Netgi kvaila. Kiekvienas žingsnis turi būti aiškus. O kaip tai padaryti? Kam kyla tokių klausimų, gali rasti šiokią tokią atsakymo pradžią..." dzenbudistu tapęs Kęstutis Marčiulynas

Q: Guruji, How important is prana (life force energy)? One, of course, is it gives life. How does one improve one’s prana?
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Prana is present in everything. In fact, we are floating in air, in prana, an ocean of prana. When the unit of expression varies, it makes a difference. Stones have got one unit of prana. Water has got two units of prana. Fire has got three units of prana. Air has got four units of prana. Plants have got five units of prana. Animals have got six units of prana. Human beings are capable of holding from seven to 16 units of prana. The expression of prana is the whole universe. When prana is lower than one, that’s when you feel depressed. When prana goes further low then you feel suicidal. When prana is normal, you feel normal. When prana is higher, you feel enthusiastic. When prana is very high, you feel energetic and blissful. That is why when people are depressed, low just giving counselling doesn’t work, what needs to be done is to raise the level of prana. When prana is high there is joy, vibrancy, and understanding. When prana is low, then the mind starts complaining, depression, lethargy, suicidal tendencies arise. All is play and display of prana. |

"Q: Guruji, Being cynical makes me more pragmatic and helps me deal with the worst situations. Is this wrong?
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Cynicism was once considered fashionable, but today, cynicism has taken over intellectuals to such an extent that it is no longer palatable and it is no longer creative. It does not do any good to oneself or to society. Cynicism is okay if it is like the pickle in the corner of the plate. But if your whole plate is filled with pickle, and you have only a tiny piece of roti (flat bread) in some corner, then just imagine how that would be. You would remain hungry, and this is what has happened today. Cynicism is essential, but to a very small extent. Cynicism should bring pragmatism in you, no doubt, but it should not take away your imaginative ability, your transformational zeal, and it should not eat away your enthusiasm. It should not overshadow your positive state of mind or kill your aspirations and hopes. If that is there then okay, have a little bit of cynicism. You find that even the Vedas are a little cynical. It is said, 'Who knows the beginning of creation. God knows; or maybe he also does not know.' This is what is said in the Vedas. Sarcasm and cynicism is all okay, just remember the example of pickle. It cannot take the place of rice, dal (lentil soup) or roti (Indian food), but a little bit can be there somewhere in the corner." |
